Surviving are his children, Leon R. Hommerding, Rita Simmons and Ruth Ann Gorham; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol J. Conte.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at 11 a.m. There will be a visitation at the church on Tuesday, before services from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Lung Assoc. or to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.
