Constantinos “Dean” A. Kokkinakis, age 41, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep, Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Dean was born in Racine, December 3, 1968, son of Anastasios and Mary (Nee: Demetriou) Kokkinakis.
On May 3, 1997, at the Kimissis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church he was united in marriage to Antonietta “Toni” Marano. Dean had been currently employed by Creation Technologies of Oak Creek for the past five years. Dean was a member of the Kimissis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church and served on the church council. He recently joined the Moose Lodge. More than anything Dean loved being with his family and participating in his children’s sports and activities, especially baseball. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as the most loving and outstanding husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Survivors include his loving wife, Toni; his children, Marria and Dominic; his parents, Anastasios and Mary Kokkinakis; his sister, Esther (David) Tegel and their children, Nicholas and Anastasia of Dublin, Ireland; his father-in-law, Vittorio Marano of Kenosha, WI; his mother-in-law, Marilyn Boutell of Milwaukee, WI; his sister-in-laws, Maria (Wayne) Collins and their children, Marano and Angelina of GA, Maureen (Brian) Storlie and their children, Vittoria and Casey of MN, Patricia (Ray) Stibeck and their children, Kalia, Zayna, and Gavin, of Kenosha; other relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 25, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Kimissis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, 1335 S. Green Bay Road, Hwy 31, with Rev. John Ketchum officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Sunday at the funeral home from 3-6 p.m. with a Trisagion Prayer Service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, all memorials can be made to the children’s college fund, “Benefit for the Children of Dean Kokkinakis” c/o Johnson Bank 4001 North Main Street, Racine, WI 53402.
