Mary-Etta (Chase) McLane

Mary-Etta McLane, age 64, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, July 25, 2011, at her residence. Mary-Etta was born in Milwaukee, June 17, 1947, daughter of the late James and Joyce A. (Nee: Momblow) Chase.

Mary-Etta created the foundation for programs to help the homeless in Racine and was the Executive Director at Homeward Bound. She was a member of the Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church. Mary-Etta enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, mosaics and time spent with friends in their book club. She had a huge heart that was always extended to the homeless and was passionate for those in need. Mary-Etta devoted and treasured time with her family and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.


Survivors include her children, Amanda Lawrence, Sara Bublitz (Dale Worzella), Jamee Bublitz Quirk, Danyle (Terry) Anderson; her ten grandchildren, Ian, Dakota, Lauren, Bryce, Gavin, Kieran, Isobele, Alannagh, Savannah and Addyson; brothers, Patrick (Manetta) Chase, Jack Chase; sister, Johneye (Guy) Jeffres; nephew and godchild, Adam Garrett; cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, August 1, 2011, at 6 p.m. at the Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church, 625 College Ave., with Rev. Tony Larsen officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. Memorials to the family have been suggested.
