
In World War II, she joined the Harvest Brigade, cutting wheat for the war effort through her father’s work at Massey Harris. Gartha enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and plants. Above all she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Wardlow; her four children, Vikki Berns, Michael (Christine) Allen, Connie Petersen (Larry Perfetto), Ronald (Theresa) Allen; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Lela Klabunde; sisters-in-law, Betty Shephard, Nora (George) Bell; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Vern Everett; sister, Arlone Kelso; nephew, Cecil Everett; and brother-in-law, Robert Allen.
Private funeral services were held.
