Rachel L. (Champagne) Teloh

Rachel L. Teloh, age 89, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan –All Saints Medical Center.  Rachel was born in St. Brieux, Canada, May 13, 1923, daughter of the late William W. and Regina L. (Nee:  Dagenals) Champagne.

On September 7, 1940, she was united in marriage to Harley R. Teloh who preceded her in death in 1989.  Rachel was a school bus driver for seventeen years.  She was a member at St. Mathew Catholic Church, Oak Creek.  Rachel enjoyed crocheting and knitting fancy sweaters, playing cards and games.  More than anything, she treasured time spent with family and friends.  Rachel was a brave, intelligent and elegant lady who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her children, Lloyd Teloh, Jeffrey (Nancy) Teloh, all of Racine, Mark (Susan) Teloh, Doraine (Tony) Melton, all of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Rupert Champagne of CA; Harold (Ramona) Champagne of New Berlin; sister, Joyce (Roy) Thiebert of Minnesota; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Wayne; her brother, Lester; and her daughter-in-law, Mary Teloh.

Everyone is invited to the funeral home to celebrate Rachel’s life on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

June Lewis McGill

June L. McGill, 60, passed away at Ridgewood Healthcare Center on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, after a long illness.

June was born in Holly Springs, MS, to Lucian and Mavis (nee: Lewis) McGill on October 8, 1951. She lived in Racine for most of her life.

June graduated from Washington Park High School and attended both Southern Methodist University and Kaplan College. June worked in Healthcare for many years as a Health Unit Clerk at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Trinity Memorial Hospital and Roger’s Memorial Hospital. She retired as the Program Director at the Racine Friendship Clubhouse.

June was a long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Her passion was music. She was a gifted musician. She sang and played the piano. She was also part of the band, “Swing Shift.” June loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. Most importantly she had a great love for her niece and nephew and their children.  June also cherished her cats.

June will be dearly missed by her mother, Mavis McGill; sister-in-law, Sandra McGill; nephew, Kelly (Stacey) McGill; niece, Bonnie (Steve) Hoagland; great-nieces and nephews, Alex and Beatrix McGill and Gladys, Dorothy and Lucian Hoagland; aunt, Mabel Robuck; her best friend for 42 years, Luann Simpson; and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Lucian Russell McGill; brother, Russell Gene McGill; and her singing partner and friend, Melissa Huck.

A memorial celebration of June's life will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Tuesday evening, August 21, 2012, at 6 p.m. Committal service will follow the ceremony at the Family Scattering Tree on the church grounds. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. service time.

Memorials to Trinity United Methodist Church are suggested.

Betty Emma Hanson

Betty E. Hanson, 93, passed away at Becker Shoop Center on Friday, August 10, 2012.

Betty was born in Dallas, Texas, to the late John and Agnes (nee: Galambos) Talos on December 2, 1918. In 1964, she was united in marriage to Leslie Hanson, who preceded her in death in 1997.

Betty was employed at Hamilton Beach and Medical Engineering until her retirement. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking for them every Sunday. They would frequently travel up north to their cabin in Mountain, WI, with family and friends. Her interests were deer hunting, bird watching, fishing, gardening, playing cards and going to the casinos.

Betty will be dearly missed by her son, Richard (Margo) Luccasen; daughter-in-law, Kay Luccasen; four grandchildren, Kari (John) Willard, Beth (Eric) Tepley, Tracy (Jeff) Koehnke and Michael (Traci) Luccasen; ten great-grandchildren, Kayla Berens, Sydney Tepley, Jackson Tepley, Brittney Koehnke, Kyle Luccasen, Koby Luccasen, Brittney Hafer (Daniels), Jason Daniels, Taylor Pesha and Connor Pesha; her sister, Rose Gergel; other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her son, William W. Luccasen, Jr.; two brothers, John (Caroline) Talos and Joseph Talos; and three sisters, Helen Talos, Agnes (William) Bylsma and Mary (Alvin)Johnson.

Barbara J. (Albright) Kingery

Barbara J. Kingery, age 65, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012, at Manor Care, Kenosha.  Barbara was born June 24, 1947, in Rhode Island, daughter of Lyman and Doris (Nee:  Siegwart) Albright.

She was employed by Jockey International for ten years and last employed by Manpower until her retirement in 2012.  Barbara enjoyed working, flower gardening, and her beloved dog, Trixie.  More than anything, she cherished time with family, especially  her grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her children, Karen Bernhardt and Robert Kingery, both of Racine; her three grandchildren, Christine Bernhardt, Carole Kingery, Doris Kingery; her mother, Doris Albright of Racine; brothers, Douglas (Robin) Albright of IL, Mark (Robin) Albright of Washington State, Diane Albright of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 17, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.

Jeanne M. Tomasek

Jeanne M. Tomasek, 56, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 10, 2012. Jeanne was born in Racine on August 30, 1955, to James and Geraldine (Fox) Tomasek.

Jeanne was a free spirited and compassionate person. She loved gardening, reading, cooking, movies and music, especially jazz. Most recently, Jeanne adored spending time with her grandchildren.

Jeanne worked for several years in the accounting field. She was a bookkeeper for the Hispanic Center of Racine. She also worked for the village of Wind Point for thirteen years as Clerk / Treasurer.

Jeanne is survived by her parents, James and Geraldine; her son, Cameron (Charlene) Tomasek; grandchildren, Evelyn Rose Tomasek and Carter Hayes Aiona; her siblings, James (Denise) Tomasek, Brian (Laura) Tomasek, Karen (Bill) Christensen, Gregory (Denise) Tomasek and family; nieces and nephews, Teresa and Dana Christensen, Andrea and Joe Schmidt, and Jason Peterson.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at the funeral home, with service to follow. Memorials to the family have been suggested.

Nadine Irma Decker

Nadine I. Decker (nee: Pabelick), 68, passed away at her home on Thursday, August 9, 2012.

Nadine was born in Milwaukee to Rudolph and Martha (nee: Arndt) Pabelick on October 28, 1943. In Milwaukee, she was united in marriage to Clarence C. Decker on March 7, 1970.

Since 1984, Nadine was an active member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, singing in the choir. Living on the Wallace Piper and Sons Farm, taking care of her family was her main priority. She cooked and baked enjoyable foods. She also canned many foods. Nadine was particular with her flower gardens around the house. She enjoyed playing cards, especially with family, and was an avid bingo player.

Nadine will be sadly missed by her children, Christopher (Keri) Decker, Darlene (Michael) Langdon II, Brenda (John) Wozniak and Darrell Decker and his girlfriend, Robin Dailey; six grandchildren, Holly Decker, Christie Wozniak, Christopher Decker, Austin Decker, Michael Langdon III, Kazandra Langdon; and one grandchild to be born; one sister, Virginia Andersen; one brother, Ernie Pabelick; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her parents; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services in honor of Nadine will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Aaron Dolan officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, August 14, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. service time.

Susan J. (Daher) Petersen

Susan Joy Petersen, age 42, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Racine, January 23, 1970, daughter of Herbert and MaryAnn (Nee: Koss) Daher.

Susan graduated from Washington Park High School “Class of 1988.”  In 1995 she was united in marriage to Jon L. Petersen, who passed away this past June 23rd.  Susan’s love for children inspired her to open up Rainbow Corner Day Care, which she ran the past 10 years.  She also had a great love for her cats, but it was the time spent with her grandchildren that she treasured most.  She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Charlie Fernandez;  grandchildren, Savannah and Liam;  her mother, MaryAnn (Richard) Jacoby;  sister, Dawn (Steve) Vlach; brother, Troy (Mary) Halversen;  sister-in-law, Robin Petersen; aunt, Kathy (Don Riegleman) Rouse; nieces and nephews, Amber, Gina and Dan Vlach, Brandon Johnson;   other relatives and friends.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Daher; and her father, Herbert Daher.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family to be used for the grandchildren’s education have been suggested.
