
Sister Margaret spent many years in service to others in teaching. She began her ministry in 1934 at St. Victor, Monroe, Wisconsin. Other places in Wisconsin where she served were St. Rita, Racine; St. Augustine, Wausaukee; St. Mary, Belgium; St. John, Little Chute; St. Sebastian, Sturtevant; and St. Mary, Tomah. She also served in Michigan at St. John, Hubbardston; and Nativity and Patronage of St. Joseph, Detroit. When she moved to Siena Center in 1972 she served in the Sisters Infirmary and the Retreat Department. She became a resident at Golden Living Center, Kenosha, in March 2005.
Sister Margaret is survived by the Racine Dominican Sisters and Associates; her sisters Mary (Edward) Mikolowski, Sister Marie Imelda Baumgartner, O.P., Cecilia Ann (Andrew) Wiegand, and Imelda Rose Connell; sisters-in-law Helen Baumgartner, Phyllis Baumgartner, and Virginia Rinke; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers Anthony, Joseph, Mello and Vincent; and her sister, Catherine Bukari.
Visitation will be in the Siena Center Chapel on Tuesday Dec. 23, beginning at 9 a.m. with a Remembering Service at 2 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 4 p.m. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32. Memorials to the Racine Dominican Mission Fund have been suggested.
