
Survivors include her brother, Edward Schlichting of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister, Amy Smith of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and a brother-in-law, Eugene Weddig of Milwaukee. She also was survived by nieces nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Calvin Stanley; and a sister, Katherine Weddig.
Mary’s strong faith in our Lord and Blessed Mother helped her through many difficult times. She had a special concern for family, friends and care givers and for those who were sick or hurting, physically or emotionally, for whom she faithfully prayed the rosary every day.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Richard Catholic Church, 1503 Grand Avenue, Monday, May 18, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Paul Daniels officiating, assisted by Deacon Howard Wirtz. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet at the church on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass.
Thank you to the many care givers and friends along the way, especially those at Oak Ridge and Prospect Heights, for your loving attention to Mary’s needs. Mary appreciated all of you!
