Marilyn P. Orlovsky, age 72, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Marilyn was born in Milwaukee on May 18, 1940, daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie (nee: Vendegna) DeRose.
On September 19, 1964, she was united in marriage to Robert J. Orlovsky; they have shared forty-eight beautiful years together.
Marilyn was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She was employed as a crossing guard for nine years for the City of Racine. In her spare time, Marilyn enjoyed cooking, bowling, and game shows. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her loving husband, Bob; daughters, Lyn (Imtiaz) Murad, Debra Marie Orlovsky; grandchildren, Jazmin and Anjali; all of Racine; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Joyce) Orlovsky, Barbara (Robert) Nelson, Mary Orlovsky, Charles Wasinack, all of Racine, Thomas Painter of FL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1533 Erie St., on Wednesday September 26, 2012, at 11:30 a.m., with Rev. Steven Varghese officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass.
