She was a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church. June loved to read, especially the classics and mysteries. She also loved old movies and musicals, and was a longtime season ticket holder to theatrical productions at the Marcus Center. In addition to rummaging and antiquing, she and Jim spent many enjoyable hours in the company of best friends, Marie and LeRoy Johnsen. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her children, Patrick (Suzanne) Goder of Raymond, Paul (Janis) Goder of Whitewater, Julie (Sid) Larsen of Clinton; her five grandchildren, Christopher (Jill) Goder, Terri (Guy) Walton, D.J. Heffernan, Dana Heffernan, Megan Heffernan; four great-grandchildren, Josh (Katie) Lee, Becca (Bob) Hinds, Alex Goder, Anna Goder, and is expecting another great-grandchild next spring; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ervin Handrich; and sisters, Mildred Sulak and May Staven.
A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 3:30 p.m. until time of Prayer Service at 6 p.m. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.
