Mary Ann Falbo, age 84, passed away unexpectedly while on vacation, Friday, August 22, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, WI. Mary Ann was born in Racine on April 29, 1930, daughter of Stanley and Frances (Nee: Jereczek) Tyborchek.
Mary Ann was a graduate of Park High School, “Class of 1948.” On October 9, 1954, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Louis Falbo, who preceded her in death on November 14, 1969. She was employed by the Racine Public Library for twenty years until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mary Ann had a flair for decorating for every season, especially Christmas. She had a true love of snowmen and cardinals. She enjoyed baking cookies, vacationing in Door County and was very proud of the St. Stanislaus cookbook which she spearheaded. It was published in 1971, titled “From Our Kitchen.” Above all. she dedicated her life to her family and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her children: Steve Falbo (Connie), Sue (Bill) McGrath, Stephanie (Scott) Brooks; grandchildren, Michael Falbo, Emily McGrath and Drew Brooks; sisters-in-law, Mae Tenuta and Carol Falbo; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia (Ned) Bucheri; and her nephew, Danny Bucheri.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1533 Erie St., with Rev. Steve Vargese officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until Mass at 10 a.m. Memorials to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or The American Diabetes Assn have been suggested.
