Carol H. (Seher) Francis

Carol H. Francis, age 85, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Carol was born in Milwaukee, WI, on December 2, 1929, daughter of the late Walter and Hazel Seher.

On June 28, 1952, in Racine, she was united in marriage to John F. Francis. Carol was employed as a Registered Nurse for many years at St. Luke’s Hospital and Lincoln Lutheran of Racine.

She was actively involved in many community organizations including being a life member of St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary and Wisconsin Natural Foods Association, charter member of Racine Astronomical Society, member of Racine Yacht Club, Mothers of Twins Club, Racine Homemakers, and the Racine Skill Bank. More than anything, Carol cherished time spent with her family and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her loving husband, John; her children, Walter (Joan) Francis, Susan Bullard, Sally (Paul) Kiel, Jane (Bernard) Rammer; her five grandchildren, Alex Francis, Brian (Kassandra) Bullard, Pamela Kiel, Jacob and Jackie Rammer; brother-in-law, Orville Huenink; nephew and nieces, David (Louise) Huenink, Pat (Randy) Adams, Cheryl Huenick (Oliver Lindberg);  other relatives and many dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Doris (Orville) Huenink.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until time of service at 5 p.m. Private interment will be held at  West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Nurses Foundation for nursing scholarships have been suggested.
