Greg N. Schuit, age 59, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Greg was born in Racine on July 19, 1955, son of Jacob and Betty (Nee: MacPherson) Schuit.
Greg was a graduate of St. Joseph Grade School, William Horlick High School “Class of 1973,” and attended UW-Madison. On June 16, 1990, in Racine he was united in marriage to Bonnie Geitner-Schumann.
Greg was a truck driver who had been employed by R & S Meats, Peter C. Beck Company, Becker Food Company, Houmann's and was last working with Pepsi. In his younger years, Greg enjoyed playing softball and hunting with his friends. His pastimes included listening to Jazz, reading mystery novels, Egyptian history, and he enjoyed working on his model railroad. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly twenty-five years, Bonnie; his mother, Betty Schuit of Racine; two brothers, Mark (Sue) Schuit of Racine, John (Yuka) Schuit and their daughter, Emiline of Arlington Heights, IL; his beloved cats, Greta and Kelsie; other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Schuit.
Per Greg’s wishes, cremation will take place and a private service will be held.
