Charles W. Coupe, age 71, passed away at his residence unexpectedly on Saturday, December 13, 2014. Charles was born in Racine, WI, on October 21, 1943, son of the late Charles and Catharine (Nee: Cawley) Coupe.
Charles was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1961.” On May 13, 1967, he was united in marriage to Jean K. Sucharda. He retired from Patrick Cudahy after twenty-three years of service. He enjoyed detailing cars, and yardwork. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-seven years, Jean; his children, Laura (Brian) Hanneman of Plover, David Coupe of Deer Park, IL, Mary (Jason) Nowitzki of Carpentersville, IL; his grandchildren, Andrew, Erik, Marcus, Chandler, Tyler, Stuart, Morgan, Aiden and Gabriella; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Janet Coupe, Joseph (Barbara) Sucharda, Susan (Tim) Stindle; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James Coupe; and sister, JoAnne (Richard) Meissner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., with Rev. Terrance J. Huebner officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Memorials to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation or St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church have been suggested.
