Debra R. Bennett, age 39, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Debra was born in Chicago, IL, October 7, 1971, daughter of Bartholomew and Johnnie (Nee: Robinson) Bennett.
Debra had been employed for fifteen years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Ridgewood Care Center and was most recently employed with the State of Wisconsin Department of Veterans. She was a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Mack C. Davis. Debra was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her children, Allen Smith, Tameisha Gage and Lelia Gage, all of Racine; her parents, Bartholomew Bennett and Johnnie Bennett; her special sister, Marilyn White of Racine; her brothers, Stevie (Shirley) Bennett of Burkburnette, TX, Royreka Bennett of Racine, Bart Bennett of Austin, TX; a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Christ Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 815 Park Ave., with Rev. Mark D. Gates officiating. Private interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the caregivers at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center, especially the ICU staff for their loving and compassionate care.
