Jasper D. Brusha, age 70, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010, at Boland Nursing Care at the Union Grove VA.
Jasper was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1958.” He proudly served his country in the US Army. Jasper was employed with the US Post Office and Brusha’s Billards. He enjoyed playing cribbage, bingo, billards and conversing with his fellow veterans at Shemanski Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Frances (Shugar) Brusha.
He is survived by his sisters, Kathleen Brusha-Chaffee of Basking Ridge, NJ, Teena (Ken) Jops of Chicago, IL; his brother: Alex (Nicole) Brusha of Naperville, IL; nieces and nephews, Catherine (Lukasz) Cianciara, Michael (Tena) Chaffee, Frank (Laura) Jops, Paula Jops, Jacob Brusha and Jonathan Brusha; 7 loving great-nieces and nephews, and many other dear relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1100 Erie St. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Tuesday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:30 p.m. Interment with full military honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy. 32.
A special thank you to cousin Francine Eickhorst for all of her loving kindness, and all of his care-givers at the Union Grove VA Shemanski Hall and Boland Nursing Care for their loving and compassionate care given to Jasper.
