Patricia Ann Strawnsky

Mrs. Patricia Ann Strawnsky (nee: Sondrup), 73, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints on Thursday night, October 21, 2010.

Patricia was born in Racine to the late Christopher and Lucille Sondrup on December 17, 1936, and had lived in Racine her whole life. In Racine, she was united in marriage to Roger G. Strawnsky on June 15, 1957. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2004.

Mrs. Strawnsky was a long-time member of Plymouth Congregational Church. She was a very generous and kind person. She donated to various charities and helped friends when there was a need. She always protected her family with her kind love. Patricia loved reading, music, movies and traveling. She also had the biggest heart for animals. For the past 10 years, she kept her kind and loving spirit.

Patricia will be dearly missed by her two children, Cynthia (Dean) Arneson of Dayton, OH, and Mark Strawnsky of Racine; and dear friends of the family, Agnes Bergmann and Rod Sharp, both of Racine. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Sondrup; and her sister, Shirley Sondrup.

A funeral ceremony will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1143 College Ave., on Thursday, October 27, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Glenn Lawson officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of ceremony. Private entombment will be held at Mound Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association or to the Animal Humane Society of America.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Becker Shoop Center and to Dr. Iftekhar H. Bader and his staff for their kind and compassionate care of Patricia.
