Surrounded by her loving family, Rose C. Mikulecky, age 91, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at the Becker-Shoop Center. Rose was born in Fort Rice, North Dakota, June 19, 1919, daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (Nee: Heinz) Schaff.
On November 20, 1941, she was united in marriage to Herbert A. Mikulecky who preceded her in death on April 3, 2004. Rose was employed by Twin Disc for over seventeen years until her retirement in 1983. Rose was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church. Rose enjoyed many years square dancing and traveling with her husband Herbert. More than anything, she treasured time spent with her family and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her two children, Jacquline (Robert) Leipzig of Somers and Joel (Diane) Mikulecky of Grandbury, TX; five grandchildren, Robert Leipzig Jr. of Kenosha, Susan Funk of North Freedom, Richard (Janine) Leipzig of Sturtevant, Sandra (Bob) Schrei of Pleasant Prairie, Ronald Leipzig of Franklin; 12 great-grandchildren, Raneta, Dalena, Kasara, Tom, Jessica, Timmy, Tyler, Bryce, Dani, Niki, Lydia, Nathaniel; great-great granddaughter, Madelyn; sisters, Pauline Roeder of Caledonia, Barbara (Louis) Wolf of Florida; nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Mary Kathryn Funk; three brothers, Anton, Pete and John; and two sisters, Mary Imelda Rivas and Frances Hutchinsen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 18, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church, 1503 Grand Ave., with Rev. Allen Bratkowski officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m.
