Donald was a product designer who held many patents on lawn mowers. He was employed by Murray Inc., Brentwood, TN, for 18 years and at Jacobson Manufacturing Company for 17 years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Donald was a classic car enthusiast and especially liked Corvairs. Above all, he was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his children, Carl N. Erickson, Pamala L. Tague, both of Racine; his grandchildren, Tylar Anna and Andrew Jordan; brother, John (Donna) Erickson of Caledonia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, LeRoy (Nancy) Miller of Racine, Shirley (Del) Alton of Racine, Robin George of Bakersfield, CA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Carl; and his sister, Beatrice George.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 322 Ohio St., with Rev. James Barsch officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the church from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Memorials to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection have been suggested.
