Dorothy J. Hugasian, age 91, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Dorothy was born in Racine on January 22, 1922, daughter of the late Hadji and Margaret (Nee: Keiffer) Hugasian.
In her younger years Dorothy worked for Webster Electric for nearly twenty-five years. Her true passion was her work as a beauty stylist where she owned and operated “The Silhouette” for more than twenty-five years. Her second passion was her dogs, always with her. Dorothy was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. She will be fondly remembered as an excellent cook and baker. Dorothy will be dearly missed by many.
Survivors include her sisters, Joan Curnes of WI, Adell Pillar, Shirley Honijo and Diane Jellico of FL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John (Lois), Robert (Dorothy), and William (Rose) Hugasian; sisters, Sarah (Ed) McAvoy, Marie (Sarkes) Gebelian, Marlene (Leo) Schwartzenberger, and Cecelia Anderson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church, 3100 95th St., Sturtevant, with Reverend Mark R. Jones officiating. Interment will follow. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m.
