Joyce E. Krenzke, age 87, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012, at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Milwaukee. She was born in Racine on June 10, 1924, daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Nee: DuFour) Perkins.
Joyce graduated from St. Catherine’s High School. On September 2, 1950, she was united in marriage to Arnold G. Krenzke, who preceded her in death on May 18, 2004. Joyce was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Red Hats. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, her iPad, emailing, and time spent with her bridge clubs. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Shirley Krenzke of Grafton; two grandsons, Scott (Caree) Krenzke and Chad Krenzke; a brother, Charles Perkins of Racine; sister-in-law, Bernice Krenzke Brown of Butler; nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends including her dear friends at the Atrium. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard (Gloria) Perkins; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Perkins.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church, 745 Main St., with Reverend Brad Van Fossen officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Private interment will be held at Mound Cemetery. Memorials to the First United Methodist Church have been suggested.
