Jeanette L. (Miller) Erickson

Surrounded by her loving family, Jeanette L. Erickson, age 75, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012, at her residence.   Jeanette was born in Racine, February 3, 1937, daughter of the late Edward F. and Myrtle H. (Nee:  Christensen) Miller.

On August 25, 1956, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, she was united in marriage to Donald G. Erickson.  She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.  With her artistic flair, Jeanette created many beautiful dolls, decorative ceramic and crocheted items.  She also enjoyed reading.  She will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother who cherished time with her family.  She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-six years, Donald; her children, Carl N. Erickson, Pamala L. Tague, both of Racine; her grandchildren, Tylar Anna and Andrew Jordan; brother, LeRoy (Nancy) Miller of Racine; sister, Shirley (Del) Alton of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 15, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 322 Ohio St., with Rev. James Barsch officiating.  Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the church from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. and Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.  Memorials to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection  Women’s Group have been suggested.
