Regina was employed at Hamilton Beach Company for a number of years, but the highlight of her career was when she moved to Seattle, WA, to work for Boeing Aircraft during WWII. She worked for many years as a cook for BeeBee’s Restaurant. She enjoyed cooking meals, especially breads, and was an avid gardener who loved to can and preserve her vegetables and fruits from her fruit trees. She was known as a very giving, compassionate person who was strong willed and had an independent spirit. She was proud to raise her children and showed them much motherly love. She was also an advocate for education.
Regina will be missed by her four children, John Doperalski, Kathryn Doperalski, David Doperalski and Margaret (Larry) Clark; seven grandchildren, Holly (Steve) Dvorak, Joseph Doperalski, Hailley Doperalski, Samantha Kampe, Marie (Jake) Griese, Amy Clark and Emily Clark; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Charles Griese; as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; and daughter-in-law, Laura Doperalski.
Funeral services in memory of Regina will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Monday, September 27, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Monday, from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at 10 a.m.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital-All Saints and Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Regina.
