Lee Stuckey, age 88, passed away Thursday March 7, 2013, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Greenville, KY, on January 17, 1925, daughter of the late Harry and Alice (nee: Sweeney) Tooley.
On November 24, 1945, Lee was united in marriage to the love of her life, Gene W. Stuckey. They shared fifty-three years together before Gene passed away on September 25, 1998. In her younger years, Lee worked for ten years as a cashier at the Red Cross Drug Store. Lee was baptized into Christ in 1999 and was a member of Spring Street Church of Christ.
She loved to manicure her gardens, decorate, had a great sense of fashion and was known for her love of the color blue. First and foremost, Lee dedicated herself to her family and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne (Mick) Kadamian; grandchildren, Ruben (Gayle) Carbajal, Stephanie (Todd) Henderson, Michael Kadamian; great-grandchildren, Madeline and Sophia Henderson, Elaina Kadamian; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her nine siblings.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Craig Bean officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Wheaton Franciscan All Saints ICU, Hospice, and her friends and staff at Parkside Gardens for their loving and compassionate care, and to her special friend Kim for the love and attention she gave Lee.
