With his family by his side, Mark R. Bruno, age 65, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013. Mark was born in Racine on August 10, 1947, son of the late Louis and Florence (nee: Westergard) Bruno.
Mark proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On April 17, 1971, Mark was united in marriage to Deborah Drusen at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Racine. They later separated but remained best friends. He was employed as a meat cutter with Piggly Wiggly for forty-four years until his retirement in 2008. In his spare time, Mark loved fishing up north or on the Mississippi River, especially with his son, David. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his son, David; granddaughters, Brittaney, Hailey and Ryanna; best friend, Deborah Bruno; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca.
Funeral services with Full Military Honors will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring St. (Hwy C), Union Grove 53182 ,Town of Dover, on Friday April 5, 2013, at noon.
