
Evelyn was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, as well as the Women’s Guild of the church. She was also active with the Racine Symphony Guild, Beta Sigma Phi and Douglas Park Senior Center. She had a great love for traveling and extensively traveled Europe and China. She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by her family.
Surviving are two sisters, Joyce (Lee) Evans of Milwaukee, Janice Krause of Rockford, IL; nieces and nephews: Nancy (Richard) Wilder, William Evans, Kenneth (Susan) Halvorson, Debbie Krause-Smith, Linda (Jack) Schwerman, Karen Schwartz, David (LuAnne) Krause; grand-nieces and nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Kenneth Halvorson Sr. and Merril Krause.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 23, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Mound Cemetery Chapel. Entombment will follow at Mound Garden Court Crypts. Relatives and friends may meet Monday at the chapel from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Memorials to the Alexian Village Employee Appreciation Fund, 9301 N. 76th St. Milwaukee, WI 53223 has been suggested.
