Wilbur proudly served his country in the US Army. On June 29, 1957, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Milwaukee, Wilbur was united in marriage to Annette J. Westenberger who preceded him in death on July 24, 2008. Wilbur’s years of education spanned from earning his BA from Carroll College in 1951, his MS from the University of Wisconsin in 1955 and his PhD from the University of Nebraska in 1966. He was employed by the State of Wisconsin as a Clinical Psychologist for many years. He had a great passion for music and enjoyed playing the piano. Above all he will be best remembered for his devotion to his family and will be dearly missed.Surviving are his children, Kurt Frederickson, Paul (Vicki) Frederickson, Mary (Andy) Abbott, Kari Frederickson (Jeff Melton), Jon Frederickson (Mary K. Casey), Susan (Samuel) Irlapati; grandchildren, Kelsey and Joseph Frederickson; Janine Davis, Janelle Davis (fiancé, Mike Schmidt) and Jeana and James Frederickson; Olivia and Rebecca Melton, Cullen and Quinton Frederickson; Lizzie and Nathanael Irlapati; great-grandchild, Brayden Anton; brother, David (Lenore) Frederickson; sister, Doris (William) Schier; sister-in-law, Ivy Westenberg; and a brother-in-law, Austin “Tag” Stapleton; nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear friends.
Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for visitation on Sunday, August 8, 2010, at the funeral home from 1 until 3 p.m. Private services and entombment will be held at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Senior Companion Program, sponsored by the Racine Dominicans has been suggested by the family.
