Emma Rose (Geoghan) Holbus

Emma Rose Geoghan-Holbus, age 65, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, 2013, to be reunited with her heavenly Father.  She was born in Racine on July 22, 1947, daughter of Donald and Emma (Nee: Thomas) Geoghan.

She attended St. Sebastian School and graduated from St. Catherine's High School ‘Class of 1966.”  Emma sang in the group “Up With People.” She was retired and is deeply loved by her family.  She loved people and nature.  Emma thought of others by giving cards for birthdays, cards of encouragement and accomplishments.  

She is survived by her husband Tom Holbus; father, Donald Geoghan; five sisters and four brothers. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Geoghan.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 20, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. John Fleming and Rev. Tony Larsen officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m.
 
The family would like to thank Wheaton  for their compassion and care while she was there. Dr. Engle is a wonderful doctor, along with the nurses and all the staff there.
