Samuel E. Lowe Jr., age 86, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013. Samuel was born in Racine on July 17, 1926, son of the late Samuel and Viola (nee: Jacobson) Lowe Sr., and had been a lifelong resident.
He graduated from Washington Park High School, “Class of 1946,” and from UW-Milwaukee with a degree in History. A lover of the arts, Samuel was a strong supporter and patron of the Racine Theatre Guild and Racine Symphony. He also enjoyed working on his yard, gardening, and his coin and stamp collections, and was a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his three brothers, Jonathan (Patricia) Lowe, Peter (Pamela) Lowe, Richard Lowe; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Edith; and his brother, James.
Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Racine Theatre Guild have been suggested.

He was indeed a strong supporter of the Racine Theatre Guild. Since I began working here in 1996, I don't think there was a year he missed being a season ticket holder and donor. We will miss him.
