Carolyn R. Mycon, age 64, passed away Monday April 19, 2010, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Carolyn was born in Milwaukee September 24, 1945, daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Meinholz.
Carolyn went through the Milwaukee School System and graduated from high school in 1963. In 1964, she was married to Richard A. Mycon who preceded her in death in 1986. Carolyn was employed with DW Davies for many years before her retirement in 1982. She enjoyed bowling, knitting and testing her luck at Potowatomi. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her love of twenty three years, Dennis J. Collins of Sturtevant; her siblings, Dorothy A. Collins, David (Jackie) Meinholz, Lydia (Jim) Goff, Mary (Mike) Jackson, Paul Meinholz, Tommy Meinholz; her adopted children, Denny (Ann) Collins, Brenda (Karl) Mueller, Karen (John) Pabst, Kimberly Kinney; seven grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Richard, Carolyn was also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Meinholz.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday April 22, 2010, at noon. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of services at noon. Memorials to the Susan G. Komen Foundation have been suggested.
