Following a courageous battle with cancer, Holly M. Verdiguel, age 25, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Holly was born in Milwaukee, WI, on March 5, 1985, daughter of Michael W. and Karen Anne (Nee: Baars) Handrich.
Holly was a graduate of William Horlick High School “Class of 2003." Furthering her education she obtained a degree in Clinical Lab Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She was a Radiologic Technologist at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Milwaukee. On May 28, 2009, in Riviera Maya, Mexico, attended by family and friends she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Marco A. Verdiguel. Always with a flair for fashion Holly enjoyed shopping. In her spare time she also enjoyed movies, working out, and was an excellent cook. More than anything she treasured time spent with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her loving husband, Marco; the joy of her life her daughter, Leila Lyn; her parents, Michael W. and Karen A. Handrich; her sister, Jessica; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Daniel and Lauri Ramczyk; her grandparents, Bonnie and Del Handrich, Marie Baars; other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ted Baars.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 24, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Private entombment will be held at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Memorials to the Friends of Holly Handrich Verdiguel, c/o Johnson Bank, for Leila Lyn, have been suggested.
