Travis W. Malone, age 70, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Aurora West Allis Health Center, West Allis, WI. Travis was born in Portales, New Mexico, on August 27, 1940, son of the late James and Jimmie (Nee: Henry) Malone.
Travis served in the U.S Army from 1957 to his discharge from the U.S Army Reserves in 1963. On September 2, 1961, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church he was united in marriage to Consuelo Garcia. Travis was employed by Young Radiator for thirty years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of True Life Ministries Church. Travis enjoyed collecting antiques, coins and Chinese soap stones. Above all he devoted his life to his family and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Connie; his daughters and sons-in-law, Sue Ann (Scott) Gallo of Muskego, Cindy L. (Steve) Rogers of Greenfield; grandchildren, Jazz Rogers, Steven Rogers II and Jared Gallo; brother, James (Crista) Malone of Fort Worth, TX; sister, Norma Dean Garrett of TX; brother-in-law Tom Spencer of CA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary (William) Hempel, Ethel (Rick) Harding, Leola (Clarence) Jeter, Betty Spencer and Wanda Nell.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Jeffrey Butler and Reverend Steven Rogers officiating. Private interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to True Life Ministries Building Fund have been suggested.
