Robert J. Webers

Robert J. Webers, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at the Becker-Shoop Center.  Robert was born in Racine, February 8, 1924, son of the late Leo and Theresa (Nee:  Brehm) Webers.

On July 13, 1946, at St. Rose Catholic Church he was united in marriage to Mildred Ann Leonard, who preceded him in death on September 8, 2007.  Robert was employed by Racine Hydraulics for thirty years.  An avid golfer, Robert also enjoyed building and flying model airplanes.  More than anything, he devoted and cherished time spent with his family.  He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his children,  Gary R. (Pat) Webers of Racine, James M. (Marija) Webers of Pleasant Prairie, Thomas J. (Blanca) Webers of Racine; seven grandchildren, Jack (Stefanie) Webers, Kari (Cory) Harbaugh, Olivia and Michael Webers, Ron Mau, Steve (Christine) Mau, Tanya (Robert) Pakulski; seven great-grandchildren, Marcus, McKenna, Kayla and Ariel Mau, Robert and August Pakulski, Zoey Harbaugh; brothers and sister, Vincent Webers of Wilmington, DE, James Webers of Gross Point Park, MI, Rosemary DeMark of Racine; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Earl (LaVerne) Leonard of Racine, Danute Leonard of Franklin, Kay Webers of St. Paul, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald; sisters-in-law, Rachel Webers, Anita Webers; and brothers-in-law, Joe DeMark and Wayne Leonard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., with Rev. Terrance J. Huebner officiating.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:30 a.m. Memorials to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to the entire staff at the Becker-Shoop Center for their loving and compassionate care.
