Beatrice (Bermudez) Cruz

Beatrice Cruz, age 51, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Beatrice was born in Pleasanton, Texas, on July 29, 1960, daughter of Joe and Felisitas (Nee: Loredo) Bermudez.

On February 14, 2002, in Las Vegas, NV, she was united in marriage to her Valentine of twenty-four years, Frank Cruz, by her favorite performer, Elvis. Beatrice was a longtime, dedicated member and volunteer of Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Beatrice cherished time with her family and will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband, Frank; her daughters and sons-in-law, Martha (Eric) Richter, Maria Alicia (Ismael) Reynoso, Destiny Cruz; sisters, Maria Isabel Bermudez, Maria Guadalupe Bermudez; brother, Joe Bermudez Jr.; her grandchildren, Heather Richter, Erica Richter, Kelly Richter, Adrian Richter, Vanessa Martinez, Alexis Martinez, William Reynoso; 11 nephews, 5 nieces; other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her son, John Bermudez; son-in-law, Miguel Martinez; and brother-in-law, Juan Oviedo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 801 College Ave., with Rev. Antony Thomas officiating. Private interment will be held. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Memorials to Cristo Rey Catholic Church have been suggested.
