Joan V. ( Heckel) Reigel

Joan Vivian Reigel, age 80, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Doylestown, WI, on July 22, 1931, daughter of the late Louis and Elda (Nee: Peterson) Crandall. Elda passed away shortly after Joan was born. Joan was then adopted by John and Orena (Nee: Peterson) Heckel. Orena was Elda's sister.

Joan was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Racine. Above all Joan enjoyed time spent with her family and will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her eight children, Cheryl (Mike) Benitez of San Antonio, TX, Gloriette (Nick) Winnike of Villa Hills, KY, Debra Reigel of Racine, Holly (Roy) Reigel-Ybarra of San Antonio, TX, Rochelle (Donald) Williams of Austin, TX, Timothy Reigel of Racine, Dean (Judy) Reigel of Long View, TX, Gary Reigel of San Antonio, TX; nine grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Margaret Floerke of Milwaukee, Jean Graves of Spencer, WI, Jerome (Pat) Heckel of Mosinee, WI, Harry (Karen) Heckel of Marshfield, WI; other relatives and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 23, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1414 W. 5th St, Marshfield, WI, with Reverend James Logan officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet at the church Monday from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass.
