Harley G. Peshek, 65, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints.
Harley was born in Racine to the late LeRoy and Jewel (nee:Anderson) Peshek on February 6, 1946. In the late 1960s, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He had been employed with Harris Metals for many years until his retirement.
Harley enjoyed cooking, fishing, going to the casinos and traveling up North. He especially loved to spend time with his family and visiting his friends, known as “the boys,” at local hangouts.
Harley will be dearly missed by his daughter, Katherine (Aaron) Lunn; granddaughters, Aryanna and Hannah Lunn; sister, Virginia “Ginny” Jansen; sister-in-law, Sharen Peshek; aunt, Dolores Adrianson; close friends, Mona, John, Harry and Kevin; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Charles and Lee Peshek.
Funeral services in honor of Harley will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12, 2012, at 7 p.m. with Rev. Terry McGugan officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to thank the WFH-All Saints Oncology staff, especially Dr. Engel and the nurses from 2D for the care that was above and beyond.
