Thomas K. Cronin

Thomas K. Cronin, age 62, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Thomas was born in Racine, January 7, 1950, son of the late Maurice and Eleanor (Nee: Jones) Cronin.

In 1974 Thomas received a Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Whitewater. On August 21, 1974, Thomas was united in marriage to Mary T. Carolan. He was employed by Twin Disc. An avid golfer, Thomas also enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Packers. More than anything, he cherished time spent with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Mary; his children, Molly Cronin, Joseph (Jennifer) Cronin; brothers and sisters, Dennis Cronin, Timothy (Diane) Cronin, Susan Verheyen, Judith (Ronald) Sommer, Jon (Belinda) Cronin, Nancy (David) Dresen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Laurence (Betty) Carolan; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sheila (Richard) Polzin, Laurence (Cynthia) Carolan, John (Kitty) Carolan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Julie Cronin; and stepfather, Leslie Acheson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Ave. Private interment will be held. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Friday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Rita Catholic Church or St. Catherine’s High School have been suggested.
