Donald E. Thompson, age 84, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2012. He was born in Racine, March 28, 1928, son of the late Earl and Jennie (Nee:Johnson) Thompson.
Donald served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Era. He was employed by American Motors Corp. for 30 years, retiring as an inspector. Don was a member of the American Cryptogram Assn. and was an avid photographer. He will be missed.
He is survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Blanche (John) Dahlstrom, Lillian (Almon) Heltsley, Florence (Charles) Tucker; and his longtime companion, Arlene Summers.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Walter Hermanns officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until time of service.
