Jeffrey Leo Jensen, age 65, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Racine on October 29, 1947, son of Jack and Elizabeth (Nee: Perfetto) Jensen.
Jeff graduated from Wm. Horlick High School “Class of 1966.” He was a mason, retiring from Great Lakes Naval Base. In 1972 he won the title of Wisconsin State Champion in a bricklaying contest. Jeff enjoyed hunting and working on hotrods. He had a love for animals, especially his dogs. He will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his father, Jack Jensen of Douglas, GA; sisters and brother, Cynthia (Dan) Heried of Shelbyville, KY, Celeste (Greg) Sturicz of Kenosha, WI, Albert (Suk) Kirschling of Navarre, FL, Jean (Greg) Macklin of Douglas, GA; Auntie Adeline Wensel; special cousin, Larry (Connie) Perfetto; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Kirschling; step-mother, Joanie Jensen; and a nephew, Caleb Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 23, 2012, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Countryside Humane Society have been suggested.
