Sharon Jean Rosman, age 73, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center, the day after her 55th wedding anniversary to her soul mate, Lyle. She was born in Racine on December 11, 1938, daughter of Charles and Bertha (nee: Yunker) Michalek.
Sharon attended William Horlick High School “Class of 1956.” On November 23, 1957, she was united in marriage to Lyle J. Rosman. Sharon worked at Hamilton Beach and retired from In-Sink-Erator in 2000 after 33 years of service.
Sharon and Lyle loved to travel all over the world and had marvelous adventures together. Along with her dear cousin Diane and her husband, Dan, she and Lyle enjoyed many years of playing bridge and casino trips. Not only was Sharon a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she leaves with her family many cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Surviving are her husband, Lyle; daughters, Dana Moes, Gail Rosman and husband Keven Krasny; grandchildren, Lauren Moes (Jeremy Harrop), Katie Moes (Dayne Szymandera), Nick Moes; great-grandchildren, Lilian and Tennison Harrop; Sharon’s sister, Betty Wellspring; and other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, June Danake.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Maresh-Meredith and Acklam Funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude’s Children Hospital have been suggested.
The family wishes to extend their deep appreciation to Drs. Michael Mullane, Lisa Wolf, Steven Ryder and their staffs, and the nurses and aides on floor 3B at All Saints. A special thank you to Mary, RN at Wheaton Hospice, and to Sharon’s close friends, Tina Jensen and Laura Maki.
