Grant 'Butch' W. Evans Sr.

Grant “Butch” W. Evans Sr., age 71, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center.  Grant was born in Chicago, IL, on July 23, 1941, son of the late John and Helen (Nee:  White) Evans.

Grant was a graduate of William Horlick High School “Class of 1960.”  On August 5, 1989, he was united in marriage to Mary Lou MIkulesky.  Grant retired from J.I. Case Company after thirty-five years of service.    An avid outdoorsman, Grant enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, and was a huge NASCAR fan.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-three years, Mary Lou; his three children, Grant (Sandra) Evans Jr., Alfred (Cherie) Evans, Natalie Evans; eleven grandchildren, Sherry (Oscar) Arguello, Michelle, Grant III, Joseph, Matthew, and Genessa Evans, Crystal and Dustin Costanzo, Marie Hadlock, Patricia Garcia, JoAnna Smart; fifteen great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Ed Despins, Gene Despins, Larry Pedersen; seven step-grandchildren, Mark, Danny, Lexi, Mark, Riley, Marial, and Bradee; sister, Helen “Sis” M. Brook; brother, Jack (Beverly) Evans; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim (Marilyn) Ratliff; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Roberta Mcfalane and Jill Mordja.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Mound Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of service at 9:30 a.m.
