Joseph J. Rudelich, age 90, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012, at his residence. Joseph was born in Racine on December 8, 1921, son of the late Joseph J. and Louise Rudelich.
Joseph was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1939.” During World War II he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps while stationed in the South Pacific. On May 15, 1948, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Lucille Catapano, who preceded him in death, January 31, 2011. They enjoyed almost 63 years together. He was last working at the Racine Water Department for over twenty years, until his retirement in 1986.
Survivors include his sons, Michael Rudelich of New York, NY, and Joseph Rudelich of Racine; his grandchildren: Ashleigh Rudelich, Jennifer Rudelich, both of Racine, Jason Rudelich of Grafton, Melissa (Artie) Harmann of Sturtevant; his great-granddaughter, Ella Harmann; sister, Mary Geary of New Mexico; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael Catapano, Ralph Catapano, Adeline Benscricutto of Racine. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark Rudelich; brothers, Nicholas and Rudy.
Relatives and friends may meet at the funeral home Wednesday, November 14, 2012, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Private funeral services with entombment at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32, will be held.
