Glenn R. Pfeffer

Glenn R. Pfeffer, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Aurora St. Luke’s South Shore Hospital, Cudahy, WI, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Glenn was born in South Milwaukee, WI,  on December 15, 1932, son of the late Aloysius and Eveline (Nee: Schulz) Pfeffer.

On May 22, 1954, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to Nancy L. Kirt.

Glenn was employed by James Cape Construction and also worked part-time for his grandfather on the family farm. In 1962, he went into farming full-time. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Glenn’s pastimes included golfing, boxing matches, playing cards, restoring antique tractors, tending to his garden and he enjoyed sharing his bountiful harvest with his friends. More than anything, he cherished his family, especially time spent with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Nancy; his children, Julie (Dan) Sullivan, Shari Pfeffer, Scott (Julie) Pfeffer, Jodi Pfeffer (Jim Galvin); his grandchildren, Jason Sullivan, Brian (Jacki) Sullivan, Kayli Pfeffer, Kaden Pfeffer; brother, Wayne Pfeffer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James Helminak, Dennis (Diane) Kirt, Laurine (Paul) Gedemer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends; and his canine companion, Cassie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Helminak; and brother-in-law, Don Kirt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church, 13207 County Road G, Caledonia, with Rev. Mark Danczyk officiating. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. Memorials to St. Louis Catholic Church have been suggested.
