Ruth P. (Brinkmann) Dugas

Ruth P. Dugas, age 92, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013, at Ridgewood Care Center.  Ruth was born in Roseville, WI, on April 29, 1921, daughter of the late William and Clara (Nee:  Kloos) Brinkmann.

On October 31, 1930, she was united in marriage to Charles E. Dugas Jr., who preceded her in death on November 21, 1999.  She was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church.  Ruth’s pastimes included sketching still life portraits, cooking, baking, knitting, sewing, flower gardening and playing bingo.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Charles E. (Jeanette) Dugas III of Racine, Eileen (Ronald) Denman of San Juan Capistrano, CA, Kathleen (Jay) Schrupp of Eden Prairie, MN; his seven grandchildren, Laura (Howard) Hart, Jennifer Denman, Joan (Sam) Firtko, Christine (Bill) Koch, Anna Schrupp, Jerry (Michele) Joerres, Doug Whitlock; six great-grandchildren, Catherine, James,  and John Whitlock, Melissa Firtko, Megan and Nathan Koch; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Dugas, Irene Holbik; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.   In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her five brothers, four sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services with entombment will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel, Hwy 32 with Rev. Ron Gramza officiating.  Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association have been suggested.
