Ralph M. Savard

Ralph M. Savard, age 85, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Hospice Alliance Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie, WI. Ralph was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island, on August 13, 1927, son of the late Maurice and Maude (Nee: Johnston) Savard.

On November 23, 1977, he was united in marriage to Bernice Heidenreich (Nee: Jensen). Ralph was employed at M & I Bank for twenty-five years. He was an active and longtime member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church where he served on the Finance Committee and sang with the men’s chorus. An avid golfer, Ralph also enjoyed woodworking. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-five years, Bernice; his children, Darrell (Catherine) Savard, Michelle Savard, all of West Allis; his stepdaughter, Sue (Eric) Kubiak of Englewood, FL; grandchildren, Douglas Savard, Robyn Savard, Daniellle Savard, Brian Kubiak, Erin (Steve) Bartell; six great-grandchildren; sister, Dolores Cadorette of Coventry, CT; sister-in-law, Alice Savard of Kansas City, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Savard; and sister, Madeleine (James) Macho.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 2000 W. 6th St., with Rev. Mark Doidge officiating. Interment will be held at Caledonia Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Memorials to the Holy Communion Lutheran Church or to Alzheimer’s Association, 160 620 S. 76th St., Milwaukee, WI 53214 have been suggested.
