Shirley A. (Klein) Carls

Shirley Ann Carls, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Racine on August 14, 1932, daughter of the late Aloys and Lillian (Nee: Schneider) Klein.

Shirley graduated from Park High School and went on to graduate from an area teachers college.

On June 25, 1955, she was united in marriage to Richard L. Carls, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jacqueline Schlaffer.

Shirley was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her sons, David R. (Jo) Carls of Point Richmond, CA, Jeffery J. (Laurel) Carls of Hot Springs Village, AR; special nephew and caregiver, James Schlaffer; other relatives and dear friends.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday, November 10, 2014, from 5-7 p.m.
