'Kiki' Kaleigh Kristine Sawasky

WIND LAKE -- Surrounded by her loving family, “Kiki” Kaleigh Kristine Sawasky, age 10, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010, at her home. Kiki was born in Racine, Wisconsin on, November 2, 1999, daughter of Richard T. and Elfrieda C. “Fritzie” (Nee: Dallmann) Sawasky.

Kiki is survived by her loving and devoted parents, Dick and Fritzie; her sisters Jenny Sawasky (Tim Bell) and Ruth Hahn; her brother Peter Sawasky; numerous foster siblings; niece, Caitlyn Bell; grandparents, Don and Elaine Longmore; aunts, uncles, other relatives and many dear friends.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Jamie; sister, Katie; grandparents, Shirlie Longmore, Earl Dallmann, Gordon VanRemmen, Dan Sawasky; Aunts, Sherl Theres, Roberta “Bobbi” Strait; Uncles, Earl “Bud” Dallmann and Eric “Rick” Dallmann.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 1401 Grove Ave., with Rev. Allen Bratkowski officiating.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy. 32.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to the Jamie, Katie and Kiki Sawasky Fund for Chronically Ill Children, c/o Children’s Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 1997 MS 3050, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53201.

Kiki’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to her pediatricians, Dr. Katie Kormanik and Dr. George Frommell, to her Nurse Jean Cottrell and Speech Therapist Sheryl Hamilton, to Dr. John Humphrey and his outstanding Palliative Care Team of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and to all of her doctors and nurses for their loving and compassionate care they have shown Kiki throughout her precious life!
