Lillian J. Kauth, age 82, went to her eternal home Wednesday June 9, 2010, at Ridgewood Care Center. Lillian was born in Racine December 15, 1927, daughter of the late August and Adelia (nee: Gerhke) Keller.
On June 3, 1950, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Racine, Lillian married the love of her life, Herbert A. Kauth and recently celebrated 60 years together. Currently, she was a member of Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church. Herb and Lillian loved boating and were longtime members of the 5th Street Yacht Club where she was a member of the women’s auxiliary. Lillian was office manager and co-owner of Herb Kauth Electric, Inc. until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed flower arranging, and most of all spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her loving husband of sixty years, Herbert; her children, Suzanne (Gary) Cooper of Racine, Penny (Daniel) George of Lincoln, CA, Herbert “Tim” (Patricia) Kauth of Cincinnati, OH; her four grandchildren, Peter (Michelle) Cooper, Samantha (Kurt) Hietala, Keegan George, Michael Mogren; her four great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jacob, Cooper and Isabella; sister, Ruth (Kenneth) Oldenburg of Racine; sisters-in-law, Violet Bartel of Springfield, MO, Agnes (Richard) Reinhard of West Allis, Marian Borchardt of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 14, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 S. Green Bay Road, with Rev. Kara Baylor officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Sunday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. Memorials to Hospice Alliance or the Nurses Foundation of Racine have been suggested.
