Pearl M. (Kime) Gross

Pearl M. Gross, age 95, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Ridgewood Care Center. Pearl was born in North Cape, October 7, 1914, daughter of the late John and Iva (Nee: Waldron) Kime and was a lifelong resident of Racine.

Pearl was married to Norbert Gross on August 31, 1935, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church by Norbert’s Uncle, Father Sipple. Norbert preceded her in death on August 1, 1997.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated, Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at 10 a.m. at St. Monica’s Senior Citizen Home Chapel, 3920 North Green Bay Road. Entombment followed at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Attending the service were Pearl’s friends and family of St. Monica’s; her niece and nephew, Joanne and Tom Wall; great niece, Jolene Young; great nephew, Kurt Kinard; who have been caring for Pearl. Other survivors include her estranged son, Kenneth (Pamela) Gross; four grandchildren, Tricia (Toby) Ohandley, Michelle (Robert) Dresen, Ann Marie (George) Gabher, and Michael Gross; eight great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband Norbert, Pearl was also preceded in death by her son, Ronald; four sisters; and three brothers.

Pearl and her niece would like to thank the sisters and staff at St. Monica’s for all the years of special care.
