Timothy C. Eickner, age 66, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at Wheaton-Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Tim was born in Racine, February 17, 1944, son of Theodore and Marion (Nee: Williams) Eickner.
He was a graduate of Park High School “Class of 1962.” During the Vietnam War Tim proudly served in the United States Navy. On April 1, 1967, he was united in marriage to Jane C. Schilke. Tim was last employed at Grove Gear, and worked part-time at Ludwig Manufacturing. He enjoyed biking but more than anything he treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-three years, Jane; his children, Tom (Anne) Eickner, Mark (Jaime) Eickner; his five grandchildren, Caillie, Laura, and T.J. Eickner, Ethan and Isabella Eickner; his mother, Marion Eickner; mother-in-law, Lydia Schilke; brother-in-law, Thomas (Kaycee) Schilke; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 17, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., with Rev. Howard Haase officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the ER staff, Dr. LeSage, Dr. Waltenberger, the ICU staff, the Pastoral staff, and all the supportive family and friends for helping them through this difficult time.
