Timothy 'Tim' L. Quirk

Timothy “Tim” L. Quirk, age 65, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, at Wheaton Franciscan –All Saints Medical Center. Tim was born in Racine on May 10, 1947, son of the late Francis and Alice (Nee: Sanders) Quirk.

Tim was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1965.” On November 21, 1980, he was united in marriage to Lynn M. Larrabee. Throughout Tim’s career, he was employed at J.I. Case Company and Wisconsin Natural Gas Company, retiring from WE Energies.

An avid sports fan, he enjoyed city league softball, volleyball and bowling. Tim was a loving and free spirit and most recently found great joy riding his new motorcycle. More than anything, he treasured time spent with his family and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-two years, Lynn; his children, Paul (Erin) Quirk of Port Huron, MI, Ron (Diana) Quirk of Racine, Jason (Jill) Mikulecky of Garner, NC, Shawn Quirk, Joel (Shawn) Mikulecky, all of Racine; his fourteen grandchildren, AJ, Alex, Alexis, TJ, Christian, Marcus, Kaylene, Kiara, Addison, Tanner, Sydnee, Jenna, Connor and Skyler; his great-granddaughter, Arianna; brother, Michael (Carol) Quirk of Golden, CO; special aunt, Mary Boyle; special uncles, Jack Sanders, Tom (Georgann) Sanders; mother-in-law, Dorothy Larrabee of Sturtevant; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bruce (Deanna) Larrabee of Racine, Jim (Micki) Larrabee of West Virginia, Joseph (Caren) of Racine; lifelong friend and brother-in-law, Sonny Havn; also survived by his first wife and friend, Dianna (Nee: Brown) Ellingson of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judith Havn; nephew, Michael Havn; and father-in-law, Walter Larrabee.

A Memorial Service will be held at Gospel Lighthouse Church, 1230 6th St., on Friday, April 12, 2013, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ralph Scherer and Rev. Jim Larrabee officiating. Private interment will be held. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the church from 11 a.m.  until time of service at 1 p.m. Memorials to Youth for Christ have been suggested.
